Technology Development   Some Recent Projects:

Virtual product development (VPD) integrates fundamental scientific and engineering principles with advanced mathematical routines to predict behavior under a given set of applied conditions.

ACES' engineers use this approach to identify the effectiveness of innovative technologies and the validity of new component designs or manufacturing processes without the necessity of relying on costly and time-consuming experimental approaches.

Coupling powerful VPD tools—including analytical software such as COMSOL, ABAQUS, Fluent, DYNA-3D, and ANSYS—with our strong knowledge of current and potential engineering practices helps keep ACES' staff members at the forefront of new developments in technology, products, and processes. This unique combination of approaches allows the rapid, cost-effective development of new and innovative solutions for the customer.

Using electromagnetic forming processes to create strong, inexpensive joints in ductile and conductive materials for  the automotive and biomedical industries and beyond.

Designing key components and technologies for petrochemical refining operations

Creating a process that can predict the potential failure of medical implants through remote interrogation of the devices

Using Comsol Multiphysics, advanced engineering software to simultaneously (i.e., without the usual error introduced by sequential equation solving) perform a wide range of computational analyses.
